The first editions reset characters, not memory.

Lootbags is in invite-only pre-alpha. Characters can reset between pre-alpha, alpha, and beta, but the account keeps its Legacy Ledger: edition marks, fame, cosmetics, addons, mounts, and proof that you were here before the roads were named.
